If I tell you that I’m not passionate about shopping that will be a very modest statement about myself. The truth is - I hate shopping . I drag myself to malls only when it is an absolute necessity. On top, I hate trying clothes. At best I check two /three stores and buy something regardless of whether I’m hundred percent happy with it. I usually don’t try anything until I’m certain about it that if it fits I’m buying it. That allows me to finish quickly and slack in the food court. I enjoy watching people.
My shopping phobia is one reason why I usually buy flowers, chocolates or cake as gifts for my friends. Sorry to my friends who often buy me creative and lovely gifts.
Two things I enjoy trying- hand-cream and perfume. Every time I walk by a fragrance section I press a couple of ’try me’ bottles. If I like any I spray my coat or scarf or blazer well enough to enjoy the scent for the rest of the day. And, yes, I never miss a ’try me’ hand-crean.
Tonight I went to the mall with an intent to look for a good deal on formal winter coat. I walked by the lady’s clothing section and didn’t touch a single coat or a thing. I was unable to convince myself to try any of those. Instead, I tried perfume and hand-cream in at least three stores. After a couple hours of shopping when I returned to the car I felt my fingers moisturized, my coat anointed with a nice perfume and I was carrying a tote from MK that was on sixty percent discount. Proud of myself 😉.
